Protect Your Pet…The Natural Way

Animal Shampoo Set

Birch Tar Soap

A customer came up to me at a craft fair to tell me her dog had “bald spots.” She tried doggie shampoo from the vet and various chemicals to combat his affliction but nothing worked. I explained to her that parabens, polysorbate and aluminum were just a few of the chemical compounds in animal shampoo. They seep into his skin, entering his bloodstream and cause bald spots, itching, allergic reactions and attract fleas.

I gave her a bar of our Animal Shampoo called Birch Tar and told her to let me know after a couple of weeks if it worked. She was pleased. Birch Tar is made from the dry distillation of the bark of birch trees. People have benefited from the restorative qualities of birch tar for centuries. Acne, eczema, seborrhea, psoriasis, dandruff, and itchy skin have all been successfully treated with birch tar, and because of the naturally occurring salicylic acid (an organic plant hormone) and methyl salicylate (an organic ester)  in birch tar, it acts as a natural exfoliator that sloughs off dead skin and tones new skin.

Birch tar is also an excellent diuretic; it is used for body detoxification and cleansing. It helps enhance the body’s blood circulation and prevents toxins from collecting in muscles and skin. Birch tar can even be applied to small cuts and wounds to prevent infections and speed up the healing process because of it’s disinfectant and antiseptic properties.

Our all natural Birch Tar Soap is a stellar way to keep your furry loved one clean and healthy. If he or she just needs a gentle but effective organic cleanser, our Woof and Hoof Set is made with green tea extract to ensure a shiny coat. Try our Doggie…or Kitten, care line today and get back to nature!Only at: http://www.soapmuffin.com

Guinness Stout Beer Soap

Beer Soap

Beer Soap

Ahhhh…beer!

Who doesn’t like an icy cold beer on a hot day? Made from hops and barley, beer is not just great for drinking but it’s great for your skin and hair too.

When used in warm water, beer soap draws out toxins from the skin and stimulates the circulatory system. The hops help to exfoliate the skin, sloughing off the dead upper layer. The active beer yeast is considered an extremely healing ingredient and contains B vitamins and saccharides, which help purify and renew the skin while locking in moisture. It is also thought that beer yeast helps with skin elasticity and acne by slowing the production sebum and killing pimple-causing bacteria. Our soap is made with a healthy dose of Shea Butter so it gives you hair luster and shine!

We must admit, it smells divine!

The lather is thick and very rich…try to to drink this one down. Makes a great gift for the beer enthusiast. Our soaps can be purchased at:

Soap of the Month: Garlic Soap for Yeast Infection

Garlic Soap 2

Mother Nature has given us the perfect cure-all for various diseases. That cure is none other than Garlic. This magical bulb is an all natural holistic cure for cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and candida…the technical term for yeast. Our bodies have yeast naturally. But, when there’s too much of it due to medications, stress, childbirth, weight gain and other factors, the build up causes an infection.

For those of you that have ever suffered from a yeast infection, which an happen on your neck, breasts, belly-area as well as the genitals, my sympathies. I had a customer whisper to me, “What can I do? I seem to suffer from them almost monthly?” My quick answer was, “garlic.”

Allicin, one of the main ingredients in garlic, is a natural anti-fungal chemical. Since it is from nature, it won’t cause dreaded side effects. I worked hard on this holistic soap and the results are fantastic! Real garlic was used in this organic soap so it does have a mild “garlicky” scent but the fragrance DOES NOT linger on your skin. This soap is great to keep on hand “just in case.” This soap is great for daily use to keep candida away.

If you or someone you know is prone to getting infections, grab a bar and try the holistic way for a most embarrassing problem.

Only available for $5.00 at:

http://www.soapmuffin.com

Note: If you think you have a serious medical problem, please see your physician.
